Mahgoub Sons Group was founded by the late Merghani Mahgoub, born in 1925 in Wadi Halfa, Sudan. He completed his studies at Gordon College, now known as the University of Khartoum, and graduated with a degree in Agriculture. Shortly after graduating he landed his first job in the Ministry of Agriculture. In 1955, after gaining the necessary experience, he decided to venture on his own by establishing “Mahgoub Sons Agricultural Co. Ltd”. The company is now run by the second and third generation of the late Merghani Mahgoub. It has experienced excessive growth and success since its establishment in 1955 and has become the leader in the agricultural field in Sudan today.
Delta Food Ltd is one of the companies Mahgoub Sons Group owns and Delta Food recently started producing halva.
Plastmore is supplying Delta Food’s halva packaging in 500gr, 1 kg and 5 kg. Very soon other sizes will be added into the range. We spoke with Mustafa Khalifa, Marketing Officer at Mahgoub Sons Group, and asked why they chose Plastmore as their halva packaging supplier:
“We are ambitious to obtain a large share of the halva market in Sudan and in the region. We are planing to expand our export as well. Our offshore companies are located in Ethiopia, Dubai, London, and China, all catering to the international markets covering Europe, Asia, The Middle East and Africa, giving the group greater international exposure and presence. As a result, we were in need of packaging materials that would better communicate our brand message and promise to our consumers.
Plastmore has a wide variety of halva packages and the facilities they provide for new packaging development are very important for us. We expect a considerable growth in our business with Plastmore in near future”.
